The ancient Japanese art of rope bondage. Originally devised to restrain prisonners this art has since transformed into something deeply intimate and sensual.
The rope is only the physical bond, but there is also an invisible bond of trust and connection between the tier and tied.
The tied must trust their tier to take care of them and give up control. In a world of constant battles for control some people find this deeply relaxing.
As the tier you have to take responsibility for your subject, they must be cared for. Whilst the tier may impose some discomfort they can also give pleasure.
